Hello,

in this video I will share some travel tips for Paris, my favourite places I visited during my one day of sightseeing and my public speaking experience and thoughts on dealing with the success of others at a business conference and networking event for young professionals. I will also share with you why I signed up to volunteer as one of five directors for a year, a mini book haul of The Little Prince pop up book, and I will show you my new promotional material for Bologna Children's Book Fair. So this video is packed full and I hope you enjoy it.

I'm just about to finish my portfolio and do some print testing, and I plan to produce some stickers for my gift to publishers and agents at the fair. What exactly will be in this promotional gift I will show you in another video :)

Hello,

want to know how I prepare my portfolio for Bologna Children's book fair? In this video, I will share with you my thoughts on my portfolio, see me working on some new pieces for the fair, and get a little glimpse into my week as an illustrator. I clearly feel most comfortable in the picture book market so I can't describe to you how excited and how nervous I'm getting as the fair draws closer. I will also go to Paris for a business conference and networking event for young professionals and ... I will give a talk about following your passion despite fear. Aaaah.

There are a lot of things that still need to be prepared for my promotional material (postcards, portfolio, etc.) but I hope to get the most time-sensitive things done before tomorrow Monday.

Draw and Chat Ep1: Garden Dreams Illustration process, an app I love, loving Vincent movie review

Hello,

here in England it's snowing and all wintery which makes me dream of summer. Welcome to a new video series called "Draw and Chat". I'm still thinking of what it should become so I'm open to your suggestions :) But for now, this is episode 1. I might live stream those episodes in the future, because then you'll be able to ask me questions and interact with me, and I can save some time editing so you can get to see videos faster :) Because this video was filmed beginning of February, and I'd like to become faster at uploading videos.

In this episode, you can get behind the scenes and watch me draw an illustration for a competition. You can see my illustration process with coloured pencils (Polychromos and Prismacolor Premier) and observe how I turn from sketch to finished drawing. I also share an app that I use to train my colour perception called I love Hue, my thoughts on loving Vincent, and a surface pattern class I currently take to turn my illustrations into patterns for products.I hope you enjoyed watching my drawing / illustration process and hear my review of Loving Vincent, which was in the cinema at that time.
