Colour charting second hand Prismacolor pencils, quality issues, and amazing colours - mini review

February 20, 2018 Romica Spiegl

Hello,

have you ever wondered how to keep your growing art supply/pencil collection organised? How to easily find a colour despite having several ones that look pretty much the same? How to find that yellow again that you have used in that project ages ago? Colour charts are your friend, maybe not yet, but I hope you will learn to love them as much as I do after watching this video.

I use this method every time I buy or receive new pencils. This process of creating little swatches, value ranges, and keeping track of a pencils, number really help to quickly find the right colour you used for a project, or to create new colour schemes for an upcoming illustration.

I will also talk about my first impression of the Prismacolor 48 Coloured Pencils Set, what I like about them and why I think Polychromos are doing a better job in certain aspects. If you want to see how I pick colours, I have another upcoming video explaining how I create a colour palette with this helpful tool. It's simple and very effective, and the best thing, it applies to other art supplies just as well.

How do you keep organised with all your art supplies?

I really hope you found this video helpful. Share your thoughts and like this video if you liked it. This helps the video to be found by other wonderful people like you.

Stay joyful,
Romica
